Our beloved mother, grandmother, great mother, sister, aunt and friend Connie Jo Fields passed away with family by her side on September 5th 2023 at Grant Medical Center. She will be dearly missed by her 4 surviving children Chasity Davis, Charles Davis, Clinton (Tina) Davis and Craig Fields. Following her grandchildren Samantha Davis, Megan Purks, Brittian Davis, Walker Davis, Callie Davis, Tessa Fields, Travis Fields, Carter Fields Her great grandchild SkyLynn Dildine; sisters, Linda Henderson and Betty Brown; close friend, Sally Reynolds; her pup babies, Bobo, Fatty and Blackie; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Randolph Fields; brothers, Glenn Walker and Harry Walker; parents, Betty Lucielle Walker and Francis Harry Walker; and grandchild, Cearia Davis. She was born in Columbus Ohio. Connie was a bus driver for Franklin County MRDD. She was a very caring woman that loved her family, she had a heart of gold. " She enjoyed loving on her grand babies and loved singing and dancing" She loved watching the deer in her backyard almost every night as well as watching the humming birds drink from her feeder. She looked forward to every holiday when the family came together at her house. In her spare time you'd be sure to see her at the Casino playing her slot machine. Connie loved sitting outdoors and just enjoying the fresh air. She was a woman that was so enjoyable to be around. Every Sunday for years she would make breakfast with her infamous gravy. We always seen her with her coffee cup in her hand and slippers on her feet. Sleeping in her bed with her by your side was a privilege but you knew not to have your "street clothes" on. Her laughter and smile was so contagious. Her favorite saying lately has been " Suck it up buttercup". She was loved by so many and touched so many peoples hearts. She loved unconditionally. She is missed so much already and our lives will never be the same without her. She's been a friend, a healer, a teacher. Nothing can take her place. She was someone you were lucky to know and blessed to be loved by her. A visitation will be held on Wednesday the 13th at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home 587 Main St. Groveport, Ohio in the afternoon from 2 to 4 pm and also 6 to 8pm. Her funeral and prayer service will be the next morning Thursday the 14th at 10:30 am Pastor Guiles Richardson officiating. The family's wish is to send a special thank you to the staff at O.R Woodyard. They have been very thorough and very thoughtful and that means so much in a time like this
