Connie Marie Fullhart passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ November 5, 2025.
Connie was born on August 29,1946 to John Stroud and Bercha Reynolds. At the very young age of 5, Connie experienced more grief than most others experience in a lifetime. She was raised by her paternal aunt Hazel, and her uncle Clarence Hunnicutt.
Our strong, independent, determined Connie pushed her way through life. She was self-reliant and pursued a career nursing. She became an RN and retired from Ball Hospital after 30 years. She then chose to work doing home health care after retirement.
Connie found the love of her life, Fred Fullhart. They were married on September 20, 1969, and shared nearly 54 years of marriage. We take comfort knowing they are reunited again, in glory.
How do we sum up 79 years of life into a few paragraphs? Our beloved Connie, leaped at the thought of any yard sale or auction. Growing up modestly, she thoroughly enjoyed buying random "antiques". She would often purchase large items carrying them by herself because she was so strong. She spent a lot of time collecting things in her retired years. She also "rescued" cats. She joked and wore her "crazy cat lady" shirt, proudly. She loved her dog Lettie dearly and took her everywhere.
Connie was such a giving soul. So, loving and caring! Connie would give to the point she was suffering. She would go without, trying to make the ones she loved happy. Her house was a neighborhood hangout for her kids' friends who will fondly agree with that statement. Her cousin Guilda became her neighbor in recent years and together they portrayed "Thelma and Louise" moments. Always entertaining onlooking neighbors. Connie was the epitome of someone with a servant's heart, often mowing lawns for others.
Mom persevered through hardship like a champ showing her undeniable strength even at the end of her life. She instilled a love for God, often quoting Phillipians 4:8. She was most definitely devoted and loyal to her boys, often to a fault. She will be SORELY MISSED.
Connie was proceeded in passing by her parents; her loyal husband Fred; siblings Barbara Edgell, Patty Reynolds, Charolette Stephens, Sharon Stutzman, and Mary Reynolds. She was also proceeded by an infant granddaughter.
Left behind to cherish her are her sons, Joe (Haley)Fullhart and Jeff Fullhart. Grandchildren, Alye (Doug) Alger, Andrew Fullhart, Seth Fullhart and Joel Fullhart. Great grandchildren, Olivia and Chloe Alger. Her loving sister Kathy (Casey) Cheasebro and brother David (Margie) Knopp. Connie has several nieces and nephews, and special friends that she leaves behind.
A special thank you to nephew, Howard Leary II (Howie) and niece Cyndi Leary for sitting for hours at Connie's bedside. They read scripture and sang for her, in her last days. Also, niece Becky Buffington for coming to see her. Other family members also provided support for us through this difficult time. Thank you for loving us!
Following mom's wishes there will be no services. The family will lay her to rest, along with Fred, at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
We love you, mom! Thank you for everything!
