Funeral services for Connie Lynell Stockstill Goodwin, 62, of Sicily Island, LA will be held at Sunnyside Church on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 10AM with Bro. Jeff Davis and Bro. Jerry Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 4PM until 7PM.
Connie was born on Sunday, April 14, 1963 in Ferriday, LA and passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in Monroe, LA. Connie was a woman who took great pride in her work as a medical administrator, dedicating herself to her profession with care and commitment. Beyond her career, she truly loved life and embraced every opportunity to enjoy it. She enjoyed vacations, especially her cruises, creating beautiful memories with her family and friends. Connie was also a woman of faith who attended Sicily Island Baptist Church, finding strength and guidance in her walk with the Lord. Connie had a huge heart, always caring for others and welcoming every chance to give. She fed stray animals, helped those in need, and was deeply involved in her community. Known for feeding people during hard times, Connie's kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone she touched. Her heart belonged to those she loved most, and time spent with them brought her the greatest joy. More than anything, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her family deeply, cherishing every precious moment shared with them. Her warmth, love, and joyful spirit will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She is reunited with her father, Louis James Stockstill, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Harry and Ora Wheat; and paternal grandparents, Daris and Juanita Stockstill.
Those left behind to cherish Connie's memory is her husband of 44 years, Randy Goodwin of Sicily Island, LA; son, Cole Goodwin (Taylor) and their children, Colton, Carson, and Addison all of Winnsboro, LA; son, Cody Goodwin (Bonnie) and their daughter, Alyssa all of Sicily Island, LA; mother, Dianne Wheat Dawson (Stanley) of Vidalia, LA; brothers, Jimmy Stockstill (Milli) of Vidalia, LA and Steven Stockstill (Mandy) of Columbia, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Those honoring Connie as pallbearers are Shelby Miller, Barry Sharp, Johnny Goodwin, Zachary Clayton, Dallas Bass, and Mark Brandenburg.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Rutledge, Kenneth McLeland, and Edward Wheat.
