Connie Johnston, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 56. Born on August 9, 1969, in beautiful small town of Gilmer, Tx to Gene and Sioux Ellison Johnston, Connie carried the spirit of kindness and generosity throughout her life, becoming a cherished figure within her community.
Connie dedicated herself to her career as the owner of a house cleaning service, where her loving nature shone through every interaction. Her clients knew her not just for her meticulous work, but for her warm smile and caring demeanor, which made each home feel a little brighter.Beyond her professional life, Connie found joy in simple pleasures. She cherished her time spent gardening, cultivating a personal paradise filled with vibrant blooms that reflected her sunny disposition. Her passion for collecting antiques brought her countless treasures, symbolizing the way she valued the past and the memories it held. Connie also had a soft spot for attending garage sales, where she often uncovered hidden gems, much like the treasures of wisdom and love she shared with those around her.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Sioux Johnston and a daughter, Sylvia Cline. She is survived by her children and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Katie Davis, Gene and Leah Johnston, Kameron and Josephine Hardin; daughter, Amber Davis; sisters, Regina Champagne and Suzanne Johnston; her loving grandchildren, Matthew, Mia, Grant, Maddi, Scarlet, Gracen, Carter, Harley, Parker, Ryder, Rachel, Blaine and numerous other relatives.
As we gather to remember Connie, we invite you to join us for visitation at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas, on November 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. These moments will allow friends and family to come together, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable life of a woman whose spirit will forever be embedded in the hearts of those she loved.
