Connie Sue Kinner September 1, 1946 ~ September 2, 2025
Connie Sue Kinner, 79, of Marion, passed away at 11:12 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, September 1, 1946, to Bert and Della (Cox) McCollum. She married Larry D. Kinner on September 2, 1971 and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2024.
Connie graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1964 and worked as a teller at Star Financial. She was also a cashier at Horner's Butcher Block in Marion. Connie enjoyed watching sports and watching her favorite TV shows. She loved her cat, Rascal.
Connie is survived by her sisters-in-law, Kay McCollum and Helen McCollum, nieces and nephews, Debra (Chris) Cunningham, Kirk (Shelly) McCollum, Kent (Gail) McCollum, Ken (Mary) McCollum, Pennie (Mike) Silvey, Leasa (late Ron) Petty, Harold (Becky) Jeffries, Terry (Cindy) Jeffries, Eddie Ryan, Bill (Donna) Atkinson, Sondra Atkinson, Jo Lynne Atkinson, Peggy Atkinson, Dennis McCollum, Kelly (Dave) Sander, several friends; plus, her special friend, Patty Shields.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Della McCollum; husband, Larry D. Kinner; sisters, Edna (John) Atkinson and Coleen (Lester) Jeffries; brothers, Delmar (Shirley) McCollum, Harold McCollum and Bob McCollum; twin sister in infancy, Bonnie Lou McCollum; niece, Carla Ryan; nephews, Rick Atkinson, Dave Atkinson, Mike Atkinson, and Steve McCollum.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Stillwater Hospice for their care and compassion.
