Jerry Allan Warr, 78, of Summitville, passed away at 6:45 pm on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Community Hospital Anderson. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, October 28, 1947, to Harry and Virginia (Voorhis) Warr.

Jerry graduated from Fairmount High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War with the 199th Light Infantry Brigade in 1968-69. He was commander and past commander of American Legion Post 313 in Fairmount, IN. He moved to Summitville in 1992. Jerry said, "The Lord gave me the best friends you could ask for, Dan Justus. He helped me so many times with my health. My girlfriend, Eva Lou Cole and her dog. Other friends, Sharon Dillard and family and Ferol Howell and Jim Brinkman. My friends at the Legion were good friends I would like to thank my good friends in Summitville and Fairmount. Emory Eccles."

Jerry is survived by "brother", Dan Justus; and cousins, Bob (Deb) Voorhis and Charles Voorhis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Warr; mother, Virginia Warr; grandparents, John and Ada Warr, as well as MK and Hazel Voorhis.

At Jerry's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. He will be laid to rest at Marion National Cemetery at a later time.
