Connie Large Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel - Knoxville on Dec. 30, 2025.
Born February 6, 1962 at 6:06 pm in Grundy, Virginia Died December 25, 2025 at 3:46 am in Knoxville, Tennessee Connie died on Christmas morning – symbolically passing the Christ Jesus born in earth body as she became reborn to a heavenly body. She turned her intelligent head of independent hair into a cosmetology license and loved cutting and styling for all customers. She was an efficient and much appreciated Human Resources Office Manager for Volunteer Lawn, RiteWay, and the family business: The Lost Savant. Connie loved true crime - the mysteries of the criminal mind, and visiting the historic locations of the strange and unusual. She brought a dramatic flair into every room she entered and the world will be a bit less shiny without her as she adds her spark to the heavenly reunion. Connie is preceded in death by her Mother: Louise Osborne Hay and her Father: Goebel Roger Hay. Connie is survived by her Son: James Brent; Stepdaughter: Kasie; Sister: Diana Louise; Brother: Roger Dean and several grandchildren. She loved her puppies and supporting animals of all species. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Young-Williams Animal Center (young-williams.org) or the animal charity of your choice. And she loved her family and friends - traveling, shopping, talking, playing games, just being together. She will be missed and remembered. Celebration of Life: January 7, 2026 at Ale'Rae's Gastro Pub (937 N Broadway Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917) at 6:00 pm. Yesterday

In my thoughts and prayers for her family. I loved working with Connie at Ritway. She was a good person with a big heart and I will always remember her love of animals.
