Connie Sue Long

Connie Long 66 of Gothenburg, Nebraska said her goodbye unexpectedly at Gothenburg Hospital on July 4th, 2025.
She was greeted with heavenly arms by her parents Robert and Ina, her siblings Bob and David, her nephews, Jason, Zach, Seth, and her son Blaine.
Connie was born in Overton NE, April 1st 1959 to Robert and Ina Wurster. Connie attended school and graduated from Overton High. Connie worked at Baldwin Filters, along with helping where needed at the Long Ranch.
Connie married John Golter (1976 - 1980), this union brought their three boys, Trevor (Amy), Blair (Traci), and Blaine. Connie then married Tom Long in 1981, who helped raise her boys, going separate ways in April of 2023.
Connie had a green Thumb and every moment she had outside of kids and grandkids she spent tending to her own garden and the local bird population.
Besides her two sons and their spouses, she is survived by her grandchildren, Austin, Trenton, Aspen, Emsley, Adley, Jayten, and great grandson Oaklen. Her siblings, Georgia, Clyde (Butch), Irma, Cindy, Jerri, Kathy, and their spouses. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held, 2:00 PM, Monday, July 14, 2025, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE with Pastor Jeff Cottingham officiating.
