Connie Smith Obituary
Funeral services for Connie Jean Monk Smith, will be held Monday, November 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana.
Connie was born October 20, 1953, in Dallas, Texas and passed away November 22, 2023, at her home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Connie retired from the medical field.
She was preceded in death by her husband Garland Sr., parents, Clyde and Dorothy Monk, brother Clyde Jr., and sister Karen Louise.
Connie is survived by her children, Garland Jr. and wife Amy of Shreveport, Jennifer and Clint Lyons, and Jimmy Dale and wife Angel of Minden, brother, Edward Monk and wife Kathy of Kaufman, Texas, sisters, Cynthia Woods of Alva, TX, Evelyn Barnett and husband Richard of Alva, TX, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, very special friends, Mary Tanner and Alma Furgason and a host of other relatives and friends.
Special thanks from the family to Bristol Hospice of Shreveport, LA, Jessica, Kaylee, and Pam.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Woods, Jeremey Smith, Cynthia Woods, and Jessie B. Woods.
