Connie Renée (Nault, Spiroff) Starr
Connie was born to Shirley (O’Donnell) and Theodore Nault Jr. of North Lake in Ishpeming, Michigan on September 8, 1961. Fifth child of eight she was preceded in death by both her parents and three of her siblings, Paul Nault, Steven Nault and Elizabeth Arnsten. Survived are her sisters, Taryn Lanczy, Patricia Johnson, Mary Lou Schenck and Theodora Soumis.
Connie became a mother in 1981. Her children, Kira (Spiroff) Preneta (Adam) and Ian Spiroff (Kaylin Parkinson) have their own families, making Nonnie a grandmother to seven grandchildren, Jack, Pearl, Layne, Theodore, Asa, Finn and Charleigh. It was a joy to see her welcome all of her grandbabies.
To list Connie’s accomplishments would do a disservice to her memory, for Connie was not her hustle to be good. She was a daughter, a sister, a lover, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother; a struggling recovered addict and a survivor. She was a part of the human family worthy of love and care by her mere presence. As we all are.
