Consuelo Dionicia Ramirez Vincent, passed away of complications in the weeks following heart surgery, on January 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Connie was born in Austin, Texas on December 25, 1967. She was adopted by Raymond and Gloria Ramirez around the age of three-months old. As the only child, Connie grew up in Port Arthur, Texas and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1986. Despite her allegiance to her Alma Mater, she always secretly wished she could’ve attended Port-Neches Groves High School so that she could were her favorite color – purple.

In 1985, she began working at Sabine Bank in Port Arthur as a Proof Operator. Connie met her beloved husband, James Vincent, while working there and often shared, how in the beginning, they were like oil and water, constantly battling over the thermostat. It did not take long for them to realize that they were soulmates, and on December 29, 1990, they were wed at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Port Arthur, TX.

During their 35-year marriage, James and Connie created a beautiful life together in Spring, Texas. In 1991 they welcomed their pride and joy into this world, a baby girl named Amanda. As a family they shared many laughs while enjoying friendly competition on game nights, fishing, and traveling the United States. One of the largest trips they took as family was a nearly 2-week adventure to Washington D.C. by vehicle, crossing as many state lines as possible along the way.

In 2018, she connected with her biological family while seeking medical history, but what she found was so much more. She was welcomed into a loving circle that revealed deep Texas roots and Native American heritage; an unexpected gift that brought her pride, joy, and a sense of belonging.

Connie was passionate about helping others and lifting them up during their time of need. As someone who battled, and won, against three separate cancer diagnoses during her lifetime, she was a true warrior. Connie was a firm believer in knowledge is power and would always have plenty of sage wisdom to offer anyone seeking it. She believed that her mission from God was to help others. While she never needed an official title to console others, Connie volunteered as mentor with multiple organizations for several years, assisting other cancer patients with navigating their diagnosis.

“Little Connie”, as she was known to her Ramirez family, was preceded in death by her grandparents Santiago and Consuelo Diaz; parents, Raymond and Gloria Ramirez; beloved friends Jerry and Rosie Morel; father in-law Cecil Vincent; and nephew Nathaniel Breaux. She is survived by her loving husband, James; daughter and son in-law Amanda and Collin Webb; mother in-law Shirley Vincent; brother in-law and wife, Warren Vincent and Grace Townsend; sister in-law and her husband, Belinda and Randy Breaux; niece and her husband, along their children, Miranda and Trevor Shelby, and Dawson Breaux; beloved friends Cathy and Allen Gilbert, and Tamara Furniz; as well as countless loved ones throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 12:00 p.m., the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Connie will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and daughter in-law; full of fire and spirit, who loved slot machines, puzzle games, and a good round of rummy.

Following the funeral service, the family will be hosting a potluck “Celebration of Connie” at the Port Neches Knights of Columbus #2461 at 700 Central Drive, on the corner of Merriman St. and Central Dr.
