Virginia Lorraine Davis, born on August 9, 1930, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, in Meadow Lake, Texas. A cherished member of her community, Virginia's life was marked by her profound faith, love for her family, and unwavering spirit.
Virginia graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1948 and later dedicated her career to working as a Dental Assistant, where she formed a lifelong friendship with Shawn Schlaffer. Throughout her life, she took great joy in celebrating holidays surrounded by family and friends, creating treasured memories that spanned generations. Her visits with Pastor Cody and her church friends were particularly meaningful to her, reflecting the strength of her faith and her commitment to her community.
Her personality shone brightly through her devotion to prayer, as she consistently prayed for everyone around her, embodying the warmth and kindness that defined her character. Virginia found fulfillment in nurturing her family bonds, and her love extended to many throughout her life.
Virginia is survived by her son, Richard (Donna) Davis II; grandson, Richard (Becky) Davis III; great-grandchildren, Trinity Davis and Virginia Davis; and her nieces, Kathy Friend and Patricia Segoin. She leaves behind a vast network of family and friends who will forever cherish the impact she made in their lives.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Davis; her parents, Unie and Ollie McCoy; and her sister, Gene McCoy.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Compassus Hospice, Marble Falls United Methodist Church, and all the wonderful friends who supported them during this time.
Virginia's legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered.

Viewing services will be held on February 20, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Winsteads' Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. Lastly, a graveside service will take place at Sandia Cemetery in Sandia, TX, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
