Connie Kay Busbee Waters, 87, passed away on January 7, 2025, at Serenity Place in Arlington, Texas. She was born on December 7, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Graydon Busbee and Mabel Louise Shippey.

Connie Grew up in Forest Hill, Texas. She graduated from Polytechnic High School where she participated in The Marching 100. After high school, she attended TCU University where she majored in music and minored in flute. 

She then started working in downtown Fort Worth at Leonard Brothers where she met her future husband. Connie married N.R. Waters, Jr. on August 29, 1959, in Forest Hill, Texas. They resided in Arlington, Texas, before relocating to Mansfield, Texas.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Graydon Busbee; her mother, Mabel Louise; and her husband, N.R. Waters, Jr.

Connie is survived by her sister, Wanda Forrester; daughter, Rhonda; her son-in-law, Richard; her grandson, Keaton; her granddaughter, Kayla; her great grandson, Kingston, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Wesley Sunday School Class at First Methodist Mansfield or Operation Kindness, where she rescued her lovable fur baby, Scamp.
