Connor Haines Peterson, 26, of Blackstone, formerly of Franklin, passed away on October 22 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Warminster, Pennsylvania, on October 13, 1999, he was the beloved son of Zane R. and Elizabeth A. (Haines) Peterson. Connor lived in Carol Stream, Illinois, Holly Springs, North Carolina, Burlington, North Carolina, Evergreen, Colorado, and Franklin, Massachusetts, before his family's move to Blackstone six years ago.
Connor attended Franklin High School, where he played varsity basketball and football for three years before transferring to Tabor Academy, graduating in 2019. He then accepted a scholarship to play football for Central Connecticut State University.
A consummate outdoorsman, Connor loved fishing, hiking, swimming, and finding joy in nature during every season, especially around a bonfire. He loved riding his motorcycle and the freedom of the open road.
A creative soul, Connor expressed himself through music composition, pottery, painting, and collage. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends and will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, kindness, and unwavering love for all living creatures.
In addition to his parents, Connor is survived by his siblings Morgan Peterson of Brooklyn, New York, Jakob Peterson of Asheville, North Carolina, and Juliet, Micah, and Tyler Peterson, all of Blackstone.
He is also survived by his grandparents, John and Wilma Peterson of Summerville, South Carolina, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Connor's life will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street, Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
