Connor Joseph Scott, 26, of Perry, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2025. A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, 214 S. Main St., Perry, MI 48872. Pastor Tim Harmon will lead us in celebration of Connor's life and legacy. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM until the time of service.
He was born on September 10, 1998, at Lansing General Hospital to Dawn and Joe Scott. Connor was a beacon of light in the lives of his family, a testament to the unwavering love and joy he brought into their world. He was a young man whose presence was characterized by a profound kindness and a gentle spirit that resonated with everyone.
Growing up in Perry, Connor was known for his quiet demeanor and empathetic nature. His passion for helping others was evident in every aspect of his life, guiding his actions and decisions. Connor's love for children was immense, and he found profound happiness in the time he spent with his best friend, Bernie, his wife, Allie, and their children. In these moments, Connor was in his element, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
Connor's intellectual curiosity was boundless, particularly when it came to history. This love of learning extended to his decision to return to school, where he was embracing his studies and looking forward to what the future held. His academic pursuits were matched by the joy he found in leisurely activities, such as video game nights with his close-knit group of friends and cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Dawn and Joseph Scott; brother, Cody Scott; grandparents, Donna Bessey and Ted Scott; aunts and uncles, Laurie (Kathy) Billington, John (Jenn Cook) Scott, Todd Scott, Lisa (Kevin) Schupbach, and Brian (Sue) Bessey; many cousins; special friends, Bernie (Allie) Marcelo and their children who meant the world to him, and many other friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Bessey and grandmother, Patricia Scott.
Those who knew Connor will remember him as a loving and courageous soul, one whose gentleness was as steadfast as it was impactful. He found peace in the simpler things in life, a good conversation, time spent fishing, enjoying nature and animals, and the gaming community.
Connor's legacy is one of love, compassion, and a commitment to the well-being of others. He will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his gentle nature. Connor Joseph Scott's story is not one of an ending, but of an enduring presence that will forever be felt in the countless lives he enriched with his loving heart.
