Daniel Eugene Martinson

Daniel Eugene Martinson passed away at home and was reunited with the love of his life, Magdalene just shy of his 84th birthday.
Daniel was born to Ernest Martinson and Violet (McInnes) in Detroit, Michigan on July 14, 1941. He grew up in "little Missouri" in Flint and graduated from Mandeville High School in 1959. He attended and graduated from Ferris State University in 1964 and went on to be a registered pharmacist for over 40 years.
He wed his beautiful wife Magdalene Atkinson on March 8, 1963 and spent 54 loving years with her before her passing. Dan loved his family and was a devoted and wonderful husband, father, grandpa and "happy"great-grandpa.
Dan spent many summers going to the U.P. with his family to Big Manistique Lake. He enjoyed tinkering around his yard and feeding Madge's birds. Though he never served in the military he was very patriotic and loved his country and its history. After retirement he traveled some and passed the time making various crafts to give to others and there was not anything he could not build or fix. He had a great sense of humor always making people laugh. He will be forever missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters; Laura Lovejoy and husband Ronald, Amy Ishee and husband Ellis, grandchildren, Daniel Lovejoy, Jacob Pickell, Joshua Lovejoy and Allysse Pickell and great-grandson Kolsen Lovejoy.
