He was the husband of Celeste "Citz/Citzie" (Squillaro) D'Amato. They celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Born in Laureana Cilento, Province of Salerno, Italy, October 14, 1933, he was the son of Emilio and Giovanina (Nicoletti) D'Amato.
He married his wife Celeste and they came to the U.S. and lived with her brother Eugene and his family until he learned to read, write and speak English and eventually settled in their own home.
He worked at the former Valerie Fashions, Wind Gap, PA for over 30 years before retiring.
He and his wife enjoyed sitting on their front porch, making a garden, entertaining family, friends and celebrating many Italian traditions.
Guy was a member of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, West Bangor, PA. He was also a member of the ILGWU.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews throughout the U.S., Canada, Italy and Switzerland.
Guy was preceded in death by his wife Celeste, a brother, Albino and sister Yolanda.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA. There will be a viewing beginning at 10:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, C/O the funeral home, 126 E Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA 18072
