Constance M. Lloyd

Constance M. (Connie) Lloyd, 76, of Buchanan, MI passed away on Saturday February 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Connie was born August 20, 1948 to Joe and Mae (Lindaur) Brychta in Michigan City, IN. She was the only sister to her loving brothers Joe, Rich and Russ.
Connie lived in Michigan all her life. She was raised on The Brychta Farm in New Buffalo where she worked side by side with her brothers doing daily chores and picking pickles for the family business. She also loved to twirl her baton, and she raised a baby raccoon that she named Stinky. She played the clarinet in the New Buffalo Junior High School band. She loved to draw and had enrolled in an art course.
Connie was a 1966 graduate of New Buffalo High School. She married Larry Lloyd on March 4, 1978 and they moved to Buchanan. She was a dedicated Team Leader at Fapco (Plant 1) for over 45 years and well loved by her coworkers. She enjoyed working on puzzles and crossword puzzles - but her greatest enjoyment was watching her children and grandchildren play in sporting events. She was a fan of Notre Dame football and especially loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs. She looked forward to her annual birthday outing - lunch and casino day with her children.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 46 years, Larry; her children, Laura (Tim) Thurston, Lisa Scott; Cheryl (Ryan Bailey) Gartland; Bryan (Amy) Lloyd; Connie was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Derek (Lacey), Ashley, John (Taylor), Jalynn, Austin (Abby), Jillian, Nick, Jillian, Addi, Isaiah, Keeley, Chloe and great-grandchildren, Walker, Campbell, Kolson and Kennedy; and nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother Mae T. Brychta; her father Joseph F. Brychta II; and her brother Joseph F. Brychta III.
Connie was loved by many and known for her loving, kind and supportive nature. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and everyone that knew her.
A Celebration of Life for Connie will be on Sunday March 9, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at American Legion, 403 E. Front St Buchanan, MI 49107. In lieu of Flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org in Connie's name.
