Constance Oliva Perry, the daughter of the late Hortense W. Patton and Jesse Lee Sr., was born November 26, 1964 in Springfield, Illinois.

Affectionately known as "Connie," grew up in Springfield and graduated from Lanphier High School, Class of 1982. With a deep passion for nursing and caring for others, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University and later her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University. Connie had numerous certificates throughout her career, including Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS). She dedicated her life to healthcare, serving many years as the Director of Emergency Services at Adventist where she led with strength, compassion and grace.

Connie accepted Christ at an early age in Springfield and later joined Alpha Missionary Baptist Church after relocating to Bolingbrook, Illinois. Her faith guided every part of her life, from the way she cared for her family to the way she served with kindness and humility.

Connie met and married the love of her life, Eddie Perry in Chicago, Illinois. They were married on April 16, 1988. To this union, four children were born, and together they built a loving home grounded in faith, partnership and devotion.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Eddie Perry; four children, Donovan (Reina), Nicholas (Janissa), Amanda and Kayla; three grandchildren, Leilani, Hudson, Esm'e; one brother, Jesse Lee Patton Jr.; two sisters, Cynthia Gaddy-Shepard and the late Paula Marie Patton; and one honorary sister and lifelong friend, Natalie Chambers. She also leaves behind a legacy through a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews who were dear to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Lee Patton Sr. and Hortense Winifred Patton; her sister, Paula Marie Patton; her nephew, Michael Royce Patton; and a host of other loved ones who welcomed her home.

Connie's love, faith and strength touched every life she encountered. Her legacy will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know and love her.
