Constance Skorupski, 77, of Sebring, FL, passed away on February 13, 2025 at Family Extended Care of Sebring in Sebring, FL. Connie was born on August 25, 1947 in South Bend, Indiana to her parents George and Gladys (Chrustowski) Bernas.
Connie was formerly a manager of a Nine West Shoes store. Previously, she held various leadership positions at Caldor and Target retail stores in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Texas. She moved to Avon Park, FL from Lewisville, TX in 2011.
She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, FL. She loved to travel with her husband in their RV, visiting family and friends several states, as well take a tour through Canada to Alaska. Connie liked to play Mexican Train Dominoes with her friends in their community center. Connie was an avid collector of owls, lighthouses and angel figurines, as well as creating some of her own.
Connie is survived by her husband of 55 years, David, as well as their three children: Victoria Asher (Scott) of Timonium, MD; Valerie Cywinski of Exton, PA; Justin Skorupski (Dana), of Little Elm, TX; as well as eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her brother, Lawrence Bernas of South Bend, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Bernas.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at a later date, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, Florida.
The family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (https://alzfdn.org/donate/), or VITAS Community Connection (Central Florida | https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E232399&id=1) in Constance's loving memory.
