Beloved Husband, Father, Pappou, and Friend
Dino Marcopul passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Son of Theoharis "Harry" C. and Rita Ruffo Marcopul, Dino was born on July 2, 1942 in
Jersey City, NJ. He is a graduate of St. Peter's Preparatory High School and Rider College.
Born in
Jersey City, New Jersey, he moved to Pennsylvania in 1973, where he has lived since. His loss is felt by his wife of 15 years, Jeanne Narkiewicz Marcopul (nee Graziano); three children: David A. Marcopul, James A. Marcopul (Kate), and Mary Heather Marcopul; seven grandchildren: Nicholas (Devon), Jenna, Eleanor, Sophia, Charles, Lukas, and Theodore. Dino is preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother, Alexander Marcopul, and his first wife of forty years, Margaret "Maggie" Marcopul.
Dino enlisted in the army, working as a munitions officer until he was honorably discharged in 1968. After returning from his station in Germany, Dino worked as an accountant, serving as the international consolidations manager of the accounting floor at Bristol-Meyers-Squibb for many years. He then became an entrepreneur, running the Soap Opera Laundromat in Northeast Philadelphia for over a decade. Later in life, Dino returned to his accounting work, serving as an insurance auditor for the state of New Jersey until he was 81 years old.
In Dino's life, hard work, love, and laughter were consistent themes. He found that all hardship can be made easier with a good joke and a hearty chuckle. He was especially devoted to his family, and found great joy in large family gatherings, or even regular days at home with his children and grandchildren. Dino's children remember fun days at the beach, Sunday morning pancakes, and always enjoying a laugh with their father.
In the summers, Dino could be found outside either tending to his garden or grilling food for a family gathering. In the wintertime, he could be found decorating his house for his favorite time of year, Christmas. Known for his enthusiasm for gift giving and holiday spirit, Dino truly made Christmas into an entire season, promising his wife that he'd not begin decorating before Halloween, and would have all the decorations down by Easter.
Dino had a tremendous joy and humor about him. He was kind to everyone, and he never had a mean word to say about anyone. He always had a smile on his face and a "Dad joke" at the ready when you were feeling down. Whether you knew Dino for five minutes or fifty years, he would welcome you like family. Often described by his children as "the best man you will ever meet," if you did not love Dino, it was simply because you had not met him yet.
Dino's family has felt blessed for all the years of joy and love they had with him. Words cannot fully express how he will be missed. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29 from 6 – 8 pm at Molden's Funeral Chapel on Otter Street in
Bristol, PA. On Tuesday, December 30, a brief visitation will be held at 10 am, followed by a funeral service to begin at 11 am at Bensalem Presbyterian Church on Bristol Road in Bensalem, PA. Interment will be at St. James Epsicopal Church on Walnut Street in
Bristol, PA.
People paying their respects are asked to come with a good joke and dressed in festive Christmas attire.
