Consuelo Cancel

Consuelo Cancel, age 89, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 8 at her home with her family.
Consuelo was born on May 30, 1936 in Manati, Puerto Rico to Salvador Rodriguez and Antonia Melendez. She married Nicholas Cancel, and together they shared a life until his passing.
She was a devoted mother to Chelo, Miguel, Raymon, Nicholas, and Janet, and a cherished grandmother to Margarita, Antonio, Briana, Corina, Alex, Tyler, Miguel, Emilio, Jeanette, Micheal, and Henry, and a host of great-grand children. Family was always at the center of her life, and she will be remembered for her cooking, fresh manicures, and spending time with her family.
Consuelo spent her years raising her children. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by Chelo (Henginio), Miguel (Christina), Raymon, Nicholas, Janet (late Miguel), her sister Rosa, Tali, and Norma, and her brother Rafin, and Vetin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Cancel, and other immediate family members who passed.
Consuelo's legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
