A dedicated caregiver, she worked in various care facilities, offering comfort and kindness to those she served.
She was direct and pragmatic in a way that was both necessary and loving—never one to sugarcoat but always coming from a place of deep care. Her family will fondly remember her for her wisdom, resilience, and the warmth of her kitchen, where she made her famous tortillas until the age of 86. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking in as many garage sales as possible. She was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Church in Idalou for many years.
