Crystal Contreras

Funeral Mass for Crystal Contreras, age 40 of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of Andrews, Texas, will be celebrated Friday, October 3, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Ogbonna officiating. She will lie in state in Andrews at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2. Burial will follow the Mass at Andrews North Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

Ms. Contreras was born April 5, 1985 in Andrews to Maria (Del Rosario) and Samuel Contreras. She had lived in Lubbock for the past 25 years. Crystal was put on this earth to give a lesson in humility and patience. She was loved by all who encountered her, especially her family and friends. She always had a smile and enjoyed listening to music, both Spanish and English. Every time Crystal heard her dad's voice she would perk up.

Crystal Contreras passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Lubbock State School in Lubbock. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Contreras. She is survived by her father, Samuel "Sammy" Contreras of Seminole; one brother, Samuel, Jr. of Seminole; one sister, Rosario Contreras of Andrews; her paternal grandmother, Rosa Contreras of Andrews, and her maternal grandfather, Luis Cordova of Andrews.
