Cooper Alan Yearicks Sr., age 82, died on August 2, 2025. Born in Woodbury, he graduated from Woodbury High School in 1961 and continued his education at Williamson Trade School, graduating in 1964. Cooper lived in National Park for over 59 years.
He began his career at Texaco, Eagle Point Plant in West Deptford, which later became Coastal, El Paso, and eventually Sunoco. Over his 43 years with the company, he worked his way up to North End Operations Supervisor. In addition, he owned and operated J & J Family Fuel in National Park.
Cooper was an active member of the Westville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed coaching baseball and softball and also played for the National Park VFW. During his retirement, he loved walking the Wildwood Boardwalk and collecting change for the tram car, playing cards, putting together his Christmas train platform, and visiting Walt Disney World to ride Space Mountain with his family. An avid gardener, he grew tomatoes in his backyard while keeping groundhogs at bay. He also loved to travel and had visited almost all 50 states. A passionate Philadelphia sports fan, Cooper cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren during their special events, summer barbecues by the pool, and making Mickey Mouse pancakes.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois A. (Neilio) Yearicks; children Carol (Ron) Larson, Cooper Yearicks Jr. (Krissy), Joseph (Maria) Yearicks, and Christopher (Melissa) Yearicks; grandchildren Joshua (Marie) Kizitaff, Ryan (Marissa) Kizitaff, Alyssa Kizitaff (Michael), Tyler (Madylyn) Kizitaff, Cooper (Andrea) Yearicks III, Braydon Yearicks, Riley Yearicks, and Mallory Yearicks; great-grandchildren Kiah, Noah Grace, Holden, Cruett, and Eastyn; and sister Patricia (the late Rich) Allen. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ricky Yearicks and Tommy Yearicks.
Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 9:30-11 AM at the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Avenue, Woodbury, NJ. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM, followed by interment at Eglington Cemetery.
