Coreda Dicynthia Reid (née Robinson), beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, was born on July 30, 1978, and went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2025.
Coreda devoted her career to nurturing and guiding young people, She served as a counselor with the Rochester City School District, where she touched countless lives with her wisdom, compassion, and faith.
She was born and spent her formative years in Jamaica, where she taught at Lowe River and Bohemia Infant and Primary schools. She later pioneered the counseling department at Bohemia Infant and Primary, where she served as its first school counselor.
She earned her Diploma in Teaching from Church Teachers' College and the University of the West Indies, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Guidance and Counseling. After migrating to the United States, she continued her studies and received a Master of Science in School Counseling from the State University of New York College at Brockport.
Coreda's greatest passion was her faith in Jesus Christ. She was ordained as a missionary with the First Century Apostolic Church in Battersea, Jamaica, and later served with the Praise Sanctuary Ministries International Apostolic Church as an evangelist, playing an integral role in the Family Life Ministry. She lived her faith daily- radiating love, joy, and encouragement to all she met.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Malon Reid Sr.; son, Malon Reid Jr.; daughter, Zahneelia Reid; mother, Delores Robinson; sisters, Karen (Richard) Campbell, Rasheda (Kirk) Wilson and Monique (Paul) Hannam; brother, Basil L. Robinson Jr.; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Basil L. Robinson Sr.
Coreda will be remembered for her deep love for her family and friends, her charisma, her humor, her adventurous spirit, her kindness, and her shining example of Christian love and evangelism.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, but her light continues in the lives she touched.
