Corey Roshean Maxwell

Corey Roshean Maxwell was born September 28, 1972, to Charlotte and Dennis Maxwell in Taylor, Texas at Johns Community Hospital. When he was young, the family moved to Austin, Texas where he spent most of his years. He was in elementary school when he started to develop his strong passion and love for acting and performing. He participated in many plays and eventually enrolled in an acting school for young kids where he excelled and earned numerous awards.
Corey was in the first graduating class of James Bowie High School where he was a part of the drama and debate teams. He was a forever fan and a sworn Bulldog for life. After high school Corey attended the University of Texas and Capitol City Trade School where he graduated in the top two of his Paralegal Program.
He participated in many clubs and professional organizations including serving and the local president of Blacks In Government.
Corey had a passion for sports. He especially loved watching his nieces and nephew play volleyball and basketball. On Saturdays you could catch him yelling at the television while the Longhorns played and on Sundays praising God. He was raised in his grandfather's church, Little Ebenezer in Hutto, Texas. He spent his adult years at Mount Olive and was a member of Young Men Living for Christ.
He lived a life full of love, laughter, and great memories that he has shared with many of us. Corey unexpectedly departed this life on Sunday, October 23, 2022.
