Corey Waylon Schlinker

Corey Waylon Schlinker, 32, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was born February 24, 1991, in Danville, Arkansas to Mikel and Kathy (Miller) Schlinker.
He was a welder, heavy equipment operator, volunteer firefighter, deputy for Franklin and Johnson Counties, and lineman. He was constantly on the go and enjoyed anything outdoors like hunting, fishing, and golfing. He loved to cook, play his guitar and sing, and spend time with his kids, family, and friends. Corey was the life of the party, always making people laugh. He never met a stranger, always helping anyone with anything and would give the shirt off his back and go hungry to feed others. He loved everyone and everyone loved him.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Starting Point Ministries in Magazine, with burial at Ellington Cemetery, under the direction of Bulger Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Starting Point Ministries.
Corey is survived by his sons, Bentley Cole Schlinker, Blaine Mikel Schlinker, and Carter James Schlinker, all of Centerville, Arkansas; parents, Mikel and Kathy Schlinker of Booneville, Arkansas; brothers, Anthony Cole Miller of Magazine, Arkansas, Cody Douglas Adams of Russellville, Arkansas, and David Schlinker of Bryant, Arkansas; sister, Heather Shatzer of Mayflower, Arkansas; maternal grandparents, Claude and Betty Miller of Magazine, Arkansas; paternal grandparents, Sue and Pat Weaver of Booneville, Arkansas; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
