Corey Andrew Whittaker, born July 18, 1987, the son of Rebecca Key Adams & Andrew Whittaker, passed away at his residence in Wooton, KY. on July 31, 2025 at the age of 38. Corey had been a resident of Leslie County since the age of 12 and was a graduate of Leslie County High School. Corey was a self employed mechanic. He was a man of many trades and enjoyed working on vehicles, lawn mowers, motorcycles and four wheelers, he could fix them all. Corey had a passion for the outdoors whether it was hunting, riding his side by side, trapping or fishing. He also enjoyed listening to music or playing his guitar, but most of all he loved his kids. Corey was also loved by many friends and was known to help people in any way that he could.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margaret J. Dickey & Jerry Key, paternal grandparents, Patricia May & Randy Whittaker, special great grandmother, Roberta Goldie Colyer, cherished cousin, Kristy Leczo and a very special bonus papaw, Kenneth Adams.
Left to cherish Corey's memory are his parents, Rebecca Key Adams & Bob of Wooton, KY. and William Andrew Whittaker & Tina of Hudson, KY., wife, Kayla Wilkins of Wooton, KY., children, Faithlynn Wilkins, Jordan Whittaker and Jackson Whittaker, all of Wooton, KY., step-brothers, Shad Savori and Chris Brockman, special granny, Ann Adams and host of loving friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The memorial service for Corey Andrew Whittaker will be at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with visitation beginning at 12 Noon up until the time of service at 3:00PM with Adrian Durham and Carl Wright officiating
