Happy Birthday in Heaven, Scott. I'll never forget carrying the host up to the altar at the Mass for your 2nd step of Ordination, and seeing the joy on your face the entire day. You were a wonderful priest and a wonderful friend. Thank you for always inspiring me.

I met Scott in High school and have so many memories. Many nights were spent riding in his Corvair, packed with friends, to pick up his mother when she got off work at night and going out for pizza at Mari´s, or just hanging out and listening to music at his house. He always had a twinkle in his eye, a quick laugh, and a unique zest in all he did. It was an honor to attend his 2nd level of Ordination and to carry the Host up for the offering. His parents were so proud, and his mother entertained everyone that evening singing songs from Ireland. Scott absolutely adored her. I last saw Scott when we met for lunch in Monterey a few years ago and he brought me a copy of his book, which I cherish. I learned of his passing when he hadn´t responded to one of my messages. My heart remembers how much he enjoyed life, people, Mari´s special, and his deep love of God. Rest in peace, Scotty.
