Corra Clare P. Sheffield (Peeples)
Pittsford: Passed away on June 11, 2024 at age 92. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Clarence Burton Sheffield; parents, Henry William "Will" and Lillian Audrey (Bray) Peeples; siblings, brothers, Henry William Peeples, Jr., "Billy," and his wife Camille (Colquitt) Peeples, and John Newton Peeples, "Johnny."
She is survived by her sons, Clarence Burton Sheffield, Jr., "Chip," & his wife, Marit (Bratli) Sheffield,MD, Charles Bray Sheffield & wife, Elizabeth (Wood) Sheffield; grandchildren, Haakon Bray Bratli Sheffield, Sunniva Bratli Sheffield, Magnus Bratli Sheffield; Charles Bray Sheffield, Jr.,"Chase", and Lillian Gatewood Sheffield, "Lilly."
Clare never lost her southern drawl, and she relished conversing with family and friends. An avid reader of biographies and an opera buff, she also enjoyed the RPO, Memorial Art Gallery, and Geva Theater. She and her husband, a Methodist Minister lived in Georgia, South Carolina, Utah and Colorado before she relocated to New York after his death. She will be remembered for her great passion for sports, especially football, and above all, her beloved UGA Bulldogs.
Services and Interment will be held privately.
