Cory Wayne Decker, 48, of Sandwich, IL passed away on August 11th, 2024 in Leland, IL.
Cory was born in Morris, IL to Marilyn (Neitzer) Decker and Wayne Decker on September 24th, 1975. The step-son of Robert Houlne. He went to school at Sandwich High School. Cory loved country music. He was a great singer and never passed up a chance to entertain his friends and family. He loved being outdoors and dirt bikes. Cory loved spending time with his family, especially his sons, nieces and nephews.
Cory is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alva (Hallie) Decker; Grandparents, Emerick (Bernice) Neitzer; Father, Wayne Decker; Uncle, Blake Neitzer; Uncle Tim Christensen; Uncle, Dave (Barb) Meredith; Uncle, Steve Ayers; And cousin, Nate Christensen.
Cory is survived by sons, Tyler Decker and Dylan Decker; Brother, Shane (Holly) Decker and their children Kiley, Eric, Skylar, Shane, Bodie; Brother, Derek (Katie) Decker and their daughter GraceLynn; Step-brother, Jake (Lauryn) Houlne; Step-sister, Jennifer Houlne and her daughter Kenzie; Step-sister, Sara (Jeremy) Arnold and their children Annabelle and Leland; Step-sister, Katelyn (Zak) Kautz: And mother, Marilyn (Bob) Houlne.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Decker, Shane Decker, Eric Henert, Bob Houlne, Ryan Orr, Bryan Meyer.
Memorials may be given to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19th, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor David Kaul of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Elerding Cemetery in Sheridan.
