Coty L. Barnhart, 34, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie from complications related to his Type 1 Diabetes condition.
Coty was born on July 2, 1991, in Phoenix, Arizona to Cory and Raquel (Veler) Barnhart. He has lived in the Marion-Fairmount area for most of his lifetime, living in Muncie for the past 5 years. He was a graduate of Marion High School-Class of 2009. He had worked as a cook in various businesses in the area. He was an avid skateboarder and a fan of Boston Bruins hockey. He was a gifted artist in drawing and anime'. He was a movie buff and enjoyed music festivals. Coty made tie-dyed T-shirts for family and friends. He collected Pokemon and participated in several collectible competitions.

He was preceded in death by his mother-Raquel Veler Barnhart in 2017, his Maternal Grandfather-Raymond Veler
Services honoring Coty's life and legacy will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2025, at 1 pm in the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 West Walnut Street, Summitville with Pastor Danny Decker officiating. The Barnhart family will receive friends after 12 Noon on Saturday in the funeral home prior to the service. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
