Courtney Elizabeth Brown

ROSEDALE- Courtney Elizabeth Brown, 39, of Rosedale, Indiana, passed away on August 20, 2025.
Born on February 10, 1986, Courtney was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend whose vibrant spirit and deep love for her family will be remembered always.
Courtney is survived by her three children, who were the light of her life: Kenleigh Berry and Cohen Berry, both of Rockville, and Laramie Brown of Rosedale. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Carol Brown of Rosedale; her sister Leigh Ann Lawson (Chad) of Rosedale; her brothers Ryan Blake of Mecca, and Jason Brown (Deena) of Rosedale. Her aunt Judi Hartman (Mark) of Rosedale, uncles Jim Montgomery (Debbie) of Marshall, Illinois, and Alan Montgomery of Brown County, Indiana.
She was a proud aunt to Wyatt Lawson of Bloomington, Garrett Lawson of Rosedale, and Korben and Duncan Blake of Mecca, who called her aunt Coco. She is also remembered with love by her close friend Chris Morris and a wide circle of extended family and friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Courtney was preceded in death by her father, Jack L. Brown of Rosedale, whose memory she cherished throughout her life. Grandparents Jim Montgomery, Mary Lou McCall, Hubert and Mary Brown; and uncle Fred Brown of Florida.
Courtney has worked at the Rockville Dental Clinic as a dental assistant since high school. She loved everyone she worked with and was loved by them, especially her work mom, Becky Black. She was a graduate from Riverton Parke High School in Montezuma, Indiana.
Courtney will be remembered for her kindness, her fierce love for her children, and her warm, generous, heart. Her strength and spirit will live on in those who knew and loved her. She had a smile that lit up a room. She was a beautiful woman in every way. She loved to cook for her family and was always trying new recipes she found on Pinterest. She will be missed every day by those who knew her.
Services will be 11:00 am Monday, August 25, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 281 N. Main Street, Rosedale with Rev. Perry Mager officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 24, from 2:00 pm until 6 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, Rosedale.
