Funeral Services for CoyDell Jackson 79 of Anacoco will be held Friday, October 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco, Louisiana with Bro. Tinker Hillman, Bro. Michael Goins, Bro. Troy Doyle, and Bro. Wesley Jackson. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery in Anacoco. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 16th from 5 p.m. until time of service in the church. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana.
Cordell Jackson passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at his residence in Anacoco.
Coydell Jackson was born on December 14, 1945, to Buck Jackson & Bertha O. Jackson in Vernon Parish, Louisiana.
On November 15, 1968 he married the love of his life Jeanette Haymon in Leesville, Louisiana, and went to work for Toledo Bend Dam, retiring after 30 years as a Mechanic.
Upon retirement, he could be found spending time with his Grandkids & great-grandkids. Whether it was camping during the summer, teaching them to drive, or as his grandkids would say "he taught us how not to drive," gardening, fishing, hunting, he was a man who enjoyed life. He always greeted everyone with a smile and lived his life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment with him as a pawpaw.
Coydell Jackson is preceded in death by his father & mother; three brothers, L.E. Jackson, Alta Ray Jackson, and Elmer Jean Jackson; two sisters, Datha McCullough and Glenda Burns; and one great-grandchild, born a sleeping angel, Baby Belsha.
Coydell is survived by his loving wife of 56 years whom he loved dearly, Jeanette Jackson of Anacoco, Louisiana. Two daughters, Shannon Williams (Anthony) of Hornbeck, Louisiana, and Shaunda Pridgen (Larry) of Anacoco, Louisiana. Five grandchildren, Cody & Kutter of Hico, Texas, Megan & Randall Hillman of Simpson, Louisiana, Morgan & Tyler Belsha of Hornbeck, Louisiana, and Allie & Kealey Pridgen of Anacoco, Louisiana. Five Great-Grandchildren: Harper & Hagen Hillman, Gracie Brack, Addie Pridgen, and Stetson Belsha.
Survivors also include one sister, Leadith Paddy of Leesville, Louisiana; and a host of special nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers: Anthony Williams, Larry Pridgen, Jerome Maricle, Donald Ray Haymon, Delmon Haymon, Perk Perkins, Stetson Belsha, Hagen Hillman.
Honorary Pallbearer: Bobby Hillman, Randall Hillman, Tyler Belsha, Anthony Lawrence, Melvin Haymon, Rodney Haymon, Ray Morrison, Medford Jeane, Mickey Josey, Chris Welch, Dean Jackson, Edwin McCullough, Jason Burns.
