Craig A. Hill. age 80, of Green Twp. went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2025. He was born in Scottdale, PA on February 19, 1945, a son of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Brunner) Hill.
Craig graduated from Scottdale High School in 1963, and California State College in 1968. He moved to Erie, where he lived for the rest of his life. He married Carolyn Hill in 1970. He was an electronics teacher at Northwestern High School for a few years and then he went on to teach for the Millcreek School District in electronics. He began to teach at the Erie Institute of Technology from where he retired. Craig was an avid amateur radio operator (Call Sign K3PLV) from the age of 16. He belonged to the Wattsburg Wireless Assn. and the Radio Assn. of Erie.
Craig also liked to read nonfiction books especially about WWII, traveling, seeing much of the U.S. and countries in Europe. He was a faithful member of Erie First Assembly of God and enjoyed getting together with several of the men there for lunch on Wednesdays.
In addition to his parents, Craig was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Hill and a nephew, Brian Hill. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Hill, a daughter, Pam Young her husband Torrey; and two granddaughters, Makayla and Maggie.
Visitation hours at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. on Friday from 1p.m. until a service at 4p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Assembly of God or to the charity of one's choice.
