Delores S. Nowak

Delores S. (Babik) Nowak, age 81, of Erie, PA, passed away Monday October 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after an extended battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Erie on October 6, 1944, the daughter of the late Stephen and Anne Babik.
Delores was a class of 1962 graduate of Villa Maria Acadamy. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church for 55 years and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She stayed active, spending precious time with her family, club ladies of over 50 years, and being a member of the Garden Club. She loved working outdoors.
Delores was the office manager at the March of Dimes for many years and retired from a human resource position at Erie Homes for Children and Adults. After retiring, she loved traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her beloved husband.
Delores loved her family fiercely. Survivors include her loving husband of
61years, Stanley P. Nowak, four children; Gregory Nowak (Traci) of Swansea, IL, Cynthia Hayes (Douglas) of Taylorville, KY, Christine Woyicki (Robert) of
Taylorville, KY and Cathleen Cullen (Michael Delaney) of Erie, PA, Five
grandchildren; Jerry Nowak (Khayla), Megan Hayes, Scott Nowak, Tyler Cullen, and Joseph Hayes and one sister, Maryann Novak (Michael) of Cleveland, OH. She is further survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 West 38th St. on Friday, October 24, from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. is handling the arrangements.
