Cynthia Jean Fratus, age 75, of Erie, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025. She was born in Erie on June 19, 1950, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Marshall.
Cindy was a 1968 graduate of Academy High School. She worked for Dr. Bill Falkenberg, then Verizon as a 411 operator until her retirement. Cindy enjoyed word games, traveling, good music, collecting jewelry and spending time with her animals, including her cat, Abby.
Cindy is survived by one daughter, Kristen Fratus; two sisters, Patricia Wierbinski (Bill) and Margaret Wierbinski (Jim); two grandchildren, Kelsie Fratus (Mike) and Parker Radecki (Starr); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Fratus; and two brothers, Richard and Robert Marshall.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa Keener for her loving care given to Cindy.
A private interment will be held for Cindy joining her husband at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cindy's family through the funeral home or a local animal shelter. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
