Walter Young

Walter Raymond Young, age 72, of Harborcreek, passed away and went to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was born to Harold and Armella Grove Young on January 4, 1953. Walter was the oldest boy of a family of 10 children with one deceased brother.
Walter was born in Erie and spent his life here until, as a young adult, moved to Phoenix, AZ, where he resided for most of his adult life. He returned to Erie in his 50s, where he spent the remainder of his life.
Walter went to Harbor Creek High School and learned masonry by working alongside his dad. He remodeled apartments and houses for many years and was very gifted and talented at his trade. He took great pride in his work.
Walter is survived by four sons; his siblings, Connie (Dan), Donald, Karen, Randy and Tammy; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas John, Thomas Arthur, Deborah Alice and William George.
Walter preferred the quiet life and calm. Your job here on earth has finished and our good Lord has called you to the heavens for another job.
