Gary A. Kobielski, 83, of Fairfield Township, OH, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 following a short illness. He was born on May 5, 1942 in Erie, PA, the son of the late John and Sophie Kobielski.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathleen (Yezzi) Kobielski; sister, Sandra Kobielski; daughters, Joanne (fiancé Joe Hitzges), Susan Sturgeon and Leslie (Bob) Soltis; along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Gary was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Design Engineer for General Electric Locomotives in Erie, PA and General Electric Aerospace in Cincinnati, OH. He later took a position with Belcan Consultants until his retirement in 2001.
Gary was an avid New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed playing softball, golf, riding his Harley Davidson and attending the Cincinnati Tennis Open. He was an avid collector of many things, but one of his favorites was his extensive collection of trains. He was a very talented individual who could build anything (but hated repairing things), including stained glass windows, which he learned to do after retirement. Gary will be truly missed by his loving wife and all his family and friends.
Friends may call at the Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 2401 West 38th Street, on Monday, October 20th, from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. A private interment will be held. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
