Craig Dudley Hudyma passed away on September 29th at his home at the age of 77.

He was born on March 19, 1948 in Minneapolis. His family moved to Orchard Lake in 1958. Living close to the lake, Craig enjoyed swimming, fishing and boating. He was especially proud of the racing boat he built and was often seen speeding across the waves.

After high school graduation in 1966, Craig attended Metropolitan Junior College for a brief time. He met Becky Skille the same year and they were married on August 22, 1970. They eventually moved to a new home in Prior Lake and started a family. In his retirement, Craig continued to enjoy his love for the outdoors and along with his wife Becky fulfilled many bucket list camping trips including the Redwood Forest and Alaska.

Craig is survived by his wife Becky of 55 years, daughters: Tara Gard, Kristin (Ryan) DeMars, and Mandy (Darren) Pfeffer; grandchildren: Benjamin, Ava, Lauren, Olivia, Mirielle, Reid, Gloria, Emeline, Annie and Lillian.

Craig and his family's love for camping became an annual event and the destination was always Flour Lake just off the Gunflint Trail, in the Arrowhead region of northern Minnesota. Joining them were aunts, uncles, cousins and pups. Enjoying excursions to photograph wildlife, pick berries, and hike were the highlights of these summer vacations. And you could always find Craig in his boat, line out, catching the walleye to provide a feast the whole family loved. He will be remembered for being a great fisherman, husband, father and grandpa.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Farmington Lutheran Church, 20600 Akin Rd, Farmington.

A memorial Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.
