Craig Allen Koska was born on March 9th, 1954 in Baltimore, MD and spent the majority of his childhood in Landsdowne, MD. Craig had a love for music that extended throughout his life. His early years were spent performing with bands around Baltimore.
He graduated from Lansdowne High School in 1972 and went on to enlist into the United States Airforce in 1975. In April of 1976 he got his dream assignment to England. He was stationed at Upper Heyford.
October 1st 1976, Craig married the love of his life Nancy. In 48yrs together, they were stationed in England, Plattsburgh NY, San Antonio TX and finally DE where Craig finished his career with the Air National Guard of Delaware, retiring in May of 1995. Craig then went on to work for the State of Delaware.
His love of music never left him and though his days in rock bands were behind him, he shared his talent by teaching guitar for almost 40yrs. He developed many close relationships with his students. Most can tell you how their half hour lesson turned into over an hour of playing guitar, telling stories and laughing.
Craig was many things to many people but his proudest and longest role was dad.
Craig is survived by his wife Nancy and their six children. Christopher (Jennifer), Megan Bailey, Tracy Butcher (Pierre), Mary Jo Moss (Tim), Veronica Martin (Tyler), and Ian. Thirteen grandchildren Aaron, Kirsten, Jayden, Kali, Amya, Jaxon, Aubrey, Carter, Kennedy, Brooklyn, Vivian, Ada, Tommy and a new baby girl that will be joining the family in a few short weeks. Two great grandchildren Logan and Kenzlee. His special sister in law Cyndi Koska and her two sons Ty and Alan. A sister Stacy Wuest.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph F. Koska, Matilda Lowe and stepmother Hazel Koska. His brothers Joseph "Butch" Koska Jr., William Lowe, Robert Carmichael and sister Catherine "Kitty" Ream.
To know Craig was to love him and feel the love he had for you.
As he would say praise God, feel the music and find the humor in life (especially at the most inappropriate times).
A vistation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 11 AM to 12 PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 12 PM. Burial with military honors will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.

Craig and I shared a special connection through music, work, and our son's love of the guitar. He called me "His Diva" when we sang/played together. We were lucky enough to share the Smyrna Opera House stage together for a few songs. Although, our dream to form a duo never came to fruition, he always supported me in my muical endeavors. He gave our son guitar lessons including Craig's Rock-N-Roll history for each song he loved. If you were a friend, you felt his love and friendship and knew he do anything for you. You will be missed my friend, as I already do.

Craig was a super guy. Glad we served in the US Air Force together.
