Craig Harry Misoyianis, affectionately known to many as "Goob", of Vincentown, NJ passed away at home on Monday, September 15, 2025. He was 44. He was the son of George D. and Judith A. (Allen) Misoyianis. Craig was born on October 22, 1980 in Mt. Holly, NJ and grew up in the Village of Vincentown. He participated in baseball, soccer, wrestling and was even the goalie for the girl's field hockey. When he was 10, he started playing his most passionate sport, ice hockey as a goalie. As a youth, he was quite the entertainer. He performed in the Southampton School talent shows as Sebastion from "Under the Sea", as his idol, Michael Jackson, performing "Thriller" and "Black & White", as well as acting in plays written by his sister, Michelle, in the Grange Christmas programs. Grade school is also when he became active in politics and was a huge supporter of President Clinton. He was a member of the Student Council, as well as the National Junior Honor Society. He was a 1999 graduate of Lenape High School where he participated in football, tennis and continued playing ice hockey as the Indians goalie. He was also the Jr. Class President. After graduation he attended West Virginia University and continued playing hockey as a Mountaineer goalie. He graduated in 2003 with a major in English and Political Science. Craig was a free spirit and always dreamed of going across the country on a motorcycle. After college graduation he came back home to save up money and started his career in the service industry at Prospector's in Mt. Laurel and bought his motorcycle. In 2004 he packed up his things and headed west with motorcycle in tow. He picked up a college roommate along the way and dropped him off in Billings, Montana and arrived at his destination, San Diago, CA. He worked as a bartender at Cane's, which was situated right on the beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Over the next five years, Craig back-packed in Costa Rico and Belize, moved to Austin, TX, bartended on Bourbon St. in New Orleans, lived with his brother Michael in Atlanta, GA and returned home in 2009. From 2009 to 2011 he bartended at the High St. Grill in Mt. Holly, now The Local Eatery and helped restore his family home, but California was calling him back. He packed up a U-haul with motorcycle in tow again and went to Los Angeles to write screen plays. He bartended at Far Bar and continued to write. He entered his manuscripts in competitions and made it through several rounds. While working at Far Bar he met Kate, who became his companion for the next 12 years. He worked at several breweries and when COVID hit he took up painting and started making his own custom guitars. Then in 2021 he found his dream job at Rock N Roll Relics, North Hollywood, CA. where he was designing and painting electric guitars until 2023 when he returned home. Craig was a gifted artist, writer and musician who loved California, Salvadore Dolly, the NJ Devils, listening to music, his 1963 Corvair, his guitars, Guns & Roses and his friends and family. He was a very kind, caring, sensitive person with always a smile. He will be deeply missed, but his free spirit will be in our hearts forever. He is survived by his mother, Judith (Dennis Hart) and his father George; sister, Michelle Misoyianis of Vincentown; two brothers, Michael (Mary) of Chattanooga, TN; Brett (Melissa) of Cape Coral, FL. and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation is from 10 AM to 12 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ 08060. A Memorial service following the visitation will be from 12 PM to 1:00 PM at Perinchief Chapels, with a Celebration of Life to follow. In Lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution in Craig's name to Wounded Warriors, a foundation that he supported.
