Craig H. Orum

CRAIG H. ORUM, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, in Westlake, Ohio. Born on May 28, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, Craig spent most of his youth in the cherished community of Williams Bay, Wisconsin. He later married Dolores Wolk, with whom he shared 33 loving years of marriage until his death.
Craig was the proud father of two children, Jill Orum Dunbar (Patrick) and Jon Orum (Bryn). He was also a loving grandfather to Joshua Heiferling, Sarah Dunbar, and Megan Dunbar, who brought him great joy.
A well-respected professional in hydraulic mechanical engineering, Craig ran his own consulting business for over three decades. Beyond his career, Craig served as a First Lieutenant in the Wisconsin National Guard, exemplifying his dedication to service.
Craig's passions extended to the outdoors and sports. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan throughout his life and enjoyed downhill skiing in the Colorado Rockies, boating on Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, and playing softball during his younger years. For the past 35 years, he made his home in the Cleveland area but always carried fond memories of Wisconsin with him.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 1st, at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home of Westlake, 25620 Center Ridge Road (west of Columbia Road) where friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Craig will be remembered for his love of family, his professional achievements, his sense of humor, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
