Craig Holman Taylor, age 77, passed from this life on December 5, 2025, in Columbia, Tennessee.

Born in Springfield, TN, Craig was part of the very first class of the then-new Columbia State Community College, which held its earliest courses at First Baptist Church in Columbia. He later continued his studies at Middle Tennessee State University before moving on to Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Craig also proudly served in the National Guard Military Police. Craig went on to build a long and respected career as a manager at General Electric in Columbia. Known as a true jack-of-all-trades, he could fix or build just about anything, always eager to lend a hand.

Craig had a deep love for travel and adventure, cherishing every opportunity to create unforgettable memories. A devoted believer in Christ, he lived his life with kindness, respect, and encouragement for everyone he met.

Craig was especially grateful for the devoted care and companionship of Kay Shapard Curtis, who lovingly supported him through the last several years of his life. Her dedication, strength, and compassion brought him comfort and peace. The family would also like to express heartfelt appreciation to hospice caregivers, along with the many friends and family members whose support, presence, and kindness helped Craig and those who loved him through this time.

He is survived by his children, Lori (Jeff) Arnett and John (Mallory) Taylor; and his grandchildren, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Arnett, Wyatt Taylor, and Leo Taylor; Companion Kay Shapard Curtis and her children, Kate Curtis (Keith) Daniel, Sam (Josh) Curtis; Kay’s grandchildren, Sam Gassaway and Meg Gassaway. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews.

Craig is preceded in death by his father, John Holman Taylor; his mother, Evelyn Moore Taylor; his brother, Wayne Taylor; and his grandson, Jack Wesley Taylor.

As we enter the holiday season, we invite family and friends to honor Craig in their own personal celebrations of life. Whether through a favorite tradition, sharing a story, enjoying a moment of laughter, or simply holding him in your thoughts, we encourage you to remember him in the ways that feel most meaningful to you.

Craig’s legacy of faith, generosity, and quiet strength will live on through the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
