Ray Bryant Hughes Jr.

Ray Bryant Hughes, Jr., age 36, of Warminster, PA, passed away on November 29, 2025 while visiting family in Tennessee. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer Jones. He was born in Abington, PA on March 13, 1989 to Ray Hughes, III and Denia (Chiodo) Klaski (Thomas). Ray was a graduate of William Tennant High School. He honorably served our country in the US Army serving in Afghanistan from 2007-2012. He achieved the rank of Fire Support Specialist and earned numerous medals for his service including the Army Commendation Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Army Achievement Medal, NATO Meal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Two Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Combat Action Badge.
After his service, Ray went on to Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and obtained his bachelor's degree in computer science. Being talented and self-taught at a young age with computers, he spent years developing the Sharp App, which was his pride, and was Chief Technical Officer of the company. Ray had a big heart, was silently charitable, and many times donated to veteran organizations and helping others in any way he could no matter how big or small. He loved anything fast: cars, jet skis, four-wheelers, and anything with wheels. He enjoyed this hobby with his brothers and friends. He had a love for Apple products, sports (especially the Eagles), and playing cards. Ray loved his family, especially his children.
In addition to his wife and parents, Ray is survived by his children Ava Hughes of Pipersville, PA, Hope Carr (Dallas) of Oak Grove, KY, Roman Gimbert of Warminster, PA, one expecting grandchild Memphis Carr, his siblings Mike Hughes (Grace) of Hatboro, PA, Jessica Hughes (Corey) of Perkasie, PA, Amber Klaski (A.J.) of Warminster, PA, Domonic Hughes (Alex) of Perkiomenville, PA, Thomas Klaski (Sarah) of Southampton, PA, Kimberly Hughes, his grandmother Jennie Chiodo, and grandfather Michael Klaski.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Viewing from 9-11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA. Interment will be held privately in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
