In Loving Memory of Craig Bronson Wood

February 14, 1947 – September 21, 2025

With both sadness and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Craig Bronson Wood on September 21, 2025, at the age of 78.

Craig was born on February 14, 1947, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Kenneth and Wilhelmina Wood. Craig was also preceded in death by his nephew, Gregory Plut Jr.

He grew up alongside his brothers-Gary, Dale, and Mark -sharing a strong and lifelong bond. Craig graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he also earned a private pilot's license. Craig met the love of his life, Cathy Voit Wood on the beaches of Daytona, they married and made their home in Georgia. Together, they built a warm and joyful life filled with love, laughter, and deep connection.

Craig embraced life with curiosity, good humor, and a generous heart. He was an avid golfer and a devoted member of Berkeley Hills Country Club, where he proudly served as Past President. He found great joy in the outdoors, whether fishing, boating, gardening, or simply tending to his beloved homegrown tomatoes, which he nurtured with care and shared generously. He had a passion for cooking, traveling and the Atlanta Braves where he was a season ticket holder.

Family was always at the center of Craig's world. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Voit Wood; his brothers, Gary Wood, Dale Wood and wife Eileen; his niece April; his nephew Carl; and Mark Wood. He is also survived by his brother-in-law David Voit and wife Elaine, and their sons Jason Voit, Michael Voit (Jessica), and Kevin Voit (Sarah); his sisters-in-law Donna Voit Bauer and husband Ronald, and their daughters Valerie Riddle (Gordon) and Emily Fitzpatrick (Michael); Linda Voit Sasinoski and husband Robert, and their daughter Melinda Dougherty (Patrick); and Laura Voit Plut and husband Gregory Plut, and their daughter Christine Plut.

A celebration of Craig's life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3:30 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, offering time for friends and family to gather, share stories, and honor Craig's life. A reception will follow at Berkeley Hills Country Club, a place close to Craig's heart and home to many of his cherished memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Blood Cancer United, formerly known as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Though Craig has left this world, his legacy of love, laughter, and wholehearted living will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
