Crystal L. Meehan, 44, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at her home.
Crystal was born April 28, 1981 in Monmouth, Il the daughter of LaRue James and Beverly Ann (Briggs) Meehan. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.
She worked as a caretaker for several folks around Monmouth. Most recently she worked at Wells Pet Food as a forklift operator.
She enjoyed gardening and going to races. She loved spending as much time as possible with her family, especially her grandchildren. Crystal lit up the room when she entered. She was a loyal friend and was very passionate when it came to her family.
Survivors include her children, McKenzie Nickerson, LaRue Nichols and Delanee Nichols all of Monmouth; her fiancé, Michael J. Jones, Jr. of Monmouth; step-children, Mallory Jones, Slater Jones and Grady Jones all of Monmouth; her grandchildren, Camila Talley and Royal Campbell; her siblings, Anthony (Dawn) Meehan of Des Moines, IA, Lori (Russ) Bowers of Cudahy, WI, David (Angela) Selta of Memphis, TN, LaRue Meehan, Jr, of Summerville, SC, Wanita (Wayne Almaguer) of Kirkwood, IL, Patrick (Shayna) Meehan of Haslet, TX, David Meehan of Monmouth and Michelle Meehan of Monmouth; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, July 18, 2025 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be at Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am Friday morning prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Crystal Meehan Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
