Harris, NC.
Crystal Annette Smith, 53 years, wife of James Luther Smith 32 years, passed away the afternoon of Monday, April 3, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Crystal was born on March 22, 1970, in Spartanburg County to Jerry Wayne Pogue and the late Brenda Faye Culbreth Pogue.
Crystal was educated locally and graduated from Chesnee High School. She then furthered her education and attended cosmetology school where she received her degree and license and for the next 25 years saw many clients.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, James Luther Smith of Harris, NC, son, Jared Hunter Smith of Harris, NC, father, Jerry Wayne Pogue and brother, Jerry Craig Pogue (Pam) of Harris, NC.
Friends are invited for visitation on Friday, April 7, 2023, 12:00-1250 pm at Alverson Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow in the church at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Buddy Robbins of Bridge Church in Chesnee officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery where Crystal will be laid to rest next to her mother.
All arrangements are entrusted to the care and under the direction of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary, 864-461-7788.
