Crystal L. Snyder

Crystal Snyder, 71, of Waterville, Ohio, passed away on December 31, 2025. She was born on May 26, 1954, to Herbert and Bernice "Carol" Royal. Crystal was the oldest of five children and graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 1972. She later married the love of her life, James Snyder, on September 21, 1991.
In addition to being a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and daughter, Crystal worked professionally as an office manager for over 40 years in the financial services and healthcare management industries. She had a love for keeping everyone and everything organized serving clients and executives alike. She also had a deep love for travel and especially cherished her trips to Maui, her favorite place in the world, where she found joy traveling with the ones she loved most. Crystal was at peace most at the beach whale watching and surrounded by the beauty of the ocean and sea life. She was happiest when spending time playing cards and sharing meals with her beloved family, and proudly watching her children, nieces, and later her grandchildren excel in sports, dance, and music.
Crystal is survived by her daughters, Leanne (Dennis) Gill, Karen Pease, and son, Fred (Karla) Snyder. She is also survived by two sisters, Laura (John) Chesebro and Linda (David) Sloan-Potts, and one brother, Brian (Connie) Royal.
She was blessed with beautiful grandchildren whom she adored above all: Ainsley and Anderson Gill; Jared and Zachary Pease; and Nathan, Lillian, and Evelyn Snyder. She also leaves behind cherished nieces, Nichole, Elizabeth, Allison and Lauren, who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, Jeffrey Royal; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Friday, January 16th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home located at 7220 Dutch Rd. Waterville, Ohio, with a funeral service immediately to follow at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wakeman Cemetery in Waterville.
